Tribute to Michael Jackson

I turned on some of my MJ favorites today, and Jack was really excited to dance to them! I accidentally cut this clip off a little short, so I missed him falling at the end.

And I couldn't resist including this one because of the pose he strikes at the end.

Let's face it... Michael Jackson was quite a bizarre man, but he had some rockin' tunes.

Playing Outside and Father's Day

It's all about boys at our house! Here's Jack with his bag of outside goodies that his aunt Amy made for him. It's got bubbles, a little shovel and rake, sidewalk chalk, a spray bottle, and some wipes. The spray bottle is his favorite!

Here he is getting daddy with it.
Happy Father's Day, Doug!

You're such an awesome father and husband, and I'm so glad we were able to spend Father's Day with you. You have two beautiful boys that love you so much. It just melts my heart to see you with them. Love you, babe!

We spent Father's Day at Doug's grandpa's house this year in Payson. He has a bunch of rundown vehicles on his property that Jack enjoyed checking out. Here he is driving the tractor...Driving the truck...Driving the school bus...Meanwhile...This is the only picture I've managed to take so far with both boys. Jack doesn't really enjoy sitting by his brother yet.And the most recent pictures of Lincoln...

Life With Two Kids

Things have been awesome here at home since Lincoln arrived! I've had so much help, I have been spoiled. We got home on a Wednesday, and Doug took that whole week off. My parents came the next Saturday, and I'm not sure what I would have done without them here! I have said hello and goodbye to nursing already, which is another story. And I'm sure only a select few of you probably wish to hear about, anyway.

Don't you just love those little birdie legs?

Jack and Lincoln happened to be wearing Utes attire when Doug got home, and we thought a few snapshots of all the boys in Utes stuff was appropriate! Gotta love Jack's shyness in this pic.

Lincoln has been doing a lot of sleeping

Doug made "Juicy Lucy" burgers he saw on TV. It's two hamburger patties with blue cheese stuffed between them. They're SO good! They put our buns to shame.

Aunt Amy came through on Saturday night with her kids and brought Jack his first set of Lego's. They're a hit!

Still trying to recover. This little guy sure makes the pain go away!

My dad drove home Wednesday afternoon, and my mom drove home with my sister and her kids on Sunday. It was hard to say goodbye since she's been waiting on us hand and foot since she arrived. We had Doug with us the rest of Sunday, and I was on my own yesterday for the first time. WOW, this is hard work!

More Pics From Hospital

Here are some other pics from at the hospital I thought were worth sharing...

Lincoln, Kevin (Doug's dad), Jack, and Carl (Doug's grandpa)

Gwen (Doug's mom) helping Jack hold Lincoln for the first time (this was the closest Jack allowed Lincoln to get to him while at the hospital, and it was a miracle we were quick enough with the camera on this one)

Here I am doing a couple laps around the nursery the night before we left

Here's where Doug slept while at the hospital

Lincoln's going-home outfit we bought for him turned out to be just a little small in the legs!

Harley Shop

The Saturday before Lincoln was born, we took Jack to the Harley Davidson store in Lindon. He makes a "vroom vroom" noise whenever he sees motorcycles, so we figured he'd love to see all of them. His favorite was when all the bikers would go in and out of the parking lot, revving their engines.

Lincoln Video

Here's a quick video of Lincoln and his sad little cry while we were still at the hospital.

Welcome to the World

Doug and I went in at 6:30 a.m. on Monday to get induced. I got started on Pitocin right away, and had my epidural around 7:30. My OB came in and broke my water a little after 8, where I was only dilated to a 4 for a couple hours. They checked me again at 11, and I was at a 6, and by 11:30, I was at a 10 and ready to push. Two contractions later...

Doug was able to give him his first bath. Kevin and Gwen have Jack for us, and dropped by with him last night. He was so excited to see Doug and me, but could care less about Lincoln. We tried to get him to hold the baby, but just wanted off the bed, like he was afraid of him. This will take some getting used to...
Lincoln and I are doing well. He's just sleeping a lot, and I'm trying to rest up and recover quickly. We'll be heading home tomorrow morning, and Jack will join us again on Thursday. Yay, he's here!
