4-Month Stats Are In

Lincoln had his 4-month check-up a couple days early to make sure it was still covered by insurance. Here's how he measured up in comparison with Jack:

Height
Lincoln: 26.0 in. (86%)
Jack: 27.0 in. (97%)

Weight
Lincoln: 17 lb. 6 oz. (92%)
Jack: 16 lb. 11 oz. (80%)

Head Circumference
Lincoln: 41.6 cm. (35%)
Jack: 42.0 cm. (41%)

To sum it up, Lincoln is a tall, hefty boy! My friend was saying her little girl is like 13 or 14 months old, and only weighs 18 lbs. Lincoln almost weighs as much as her! How funny. Doug took him, and dropped Jack and me off at a nearby park to play. Lincoln had to get 3 shots, and Doug said he didn't even cry for that long. Brute!

I had an Usborne books party last night, and only one person showed up! I felt so embarrassed and tried to tell the rep (my friend Britney) that I really did invite like 15+ people. I'm so glad you came, Rach! Their books were so amazing, I think I want to become a rep eventually. Let me know if you'd want to book a party next year!

Life With Three Boys

Well I had two interviews this week, and managed to land one job... I'm headed back to the call center at 1-800 CONTACTS on October 5th. I'm so glad I'll be able to help us bring in some income, but not looking forward to leaving my boys all day. Meanwhile, here's what we've been up to at home with the whole family.

We took a trip to Farm Country, which Jack LOVED! Here are Doug and Jack feeding the cows

Here's mom and Jack on the wagon ride

Jack saying hello to... I think it's a goat?

Uncle Kolton stopped by to say hello to the boys

Jack, once again in the garage with tools

Lincoln chillin' in his Baby Bjorn

Jack's typical pose while drinking (grabbing his ear with his free hand)

My 27th birthday yesterday! Doug gave me heart-shaped pieces of toast when I woke up, and fixed me an egg sandwich. My favorite breakfast! Then we had a gift card for Cheesecake Factory (thanks again, Cec!), and went to see Love Happens afterwards with some free movie passes. It was decent, but sadder than I was expecting.

The boys this morning on the couch, watching a new show called Dinosaur Train. Gotta break out the dinosaurs!

Stupid Economy

As many of you already know, Doug was laid off last week. We have tremendously enjoyed having him around every day, but it's also stressful with both of us looking for jobs, and not even landing interviews anywhere. The economy really does suck when you're on this side of things. We were able to go to the temple for the first time in a long time this week, and hopefully that will help give us blessings. If any of you hear of a finance job where you are, PLEASE let us know!

Meanwhile, here are some recent pics of the boys.

Colorado Trip... Picture Overload!!

I'm just now getting around to posting about our 2-week stay in Colorado. I loved being around family, Jack loved playing with his cousins, and everyone enjoyed meeting Lincoln for the first time. Here are enough pictures to bore you to tears.

Eliza, Alex, and Olivia meeting Lincoln

Eliza holding fussy Lincoln

Olivia holding little Linc

Olivia giving Jack some loves on the swing
(we call Olivia "Oboe", and Jack started calling her "Bobo." It was really cute!)

"Bobo" and Jack scampering off to the splash park in Loveland

Jack had so much fun at this splash park that he was practically laughing the entire time! (until he fell down and scraped his shin and forehead, ouch!)

You can't see it very well, but Jack managed to pee on my shirt and pants through his swim diaper. Turns out those things don't hold the pee in. Awesome! That means every time a kid pees into a swim diaper at the pool, we're swimming in it.

Grandma Mondy, or "Grammy" giving Jack loves

GREAT smiles from Lincoln

Cody giving Jack a ride in their Jeep. He enjoys it much more now than he did last Thanksgiving at Amy's house!

silly grandpa Mondy, a.k.a. "Papa" at Loveland's annual Corn Roast parade

poor Cody broke his arm the same day Alex got her cast off from breaking her arm! Eliza said those casts don't slow her kids down at all.

Jack and me at the parade
And the moment we'd all been waiting for... there's Olivia on her cheer and dance float!
Jack still loves my mom's music boxes. Here he is after picking one out, laying on Lincoln's blanket with him. Jack lying down is a rare occasion!

Jon and Jack on Jon and Eliza's jet ski... the first time Jack has been on one. He thought every time was his turn, and got mad when one of the twins would get on instead. He loved it so much that he found a toy jet ski at my parent's house, and wanted to sleep with it that night.

one of my high school friends, Allison. I was so glad I got to see her! I also went to lunch with my friend Katie, and Doug and I met her and her husband for dessert the night before we left. Chad and Doug seemed to get along really well. I'm so glad Katie and I are still close!

Doug took Jack to a nearby park and they found this huge snail that Jack was interested in

Lincoln and grandma Mondy, with Lincoln giving us his glamour shot

Jack and Doug on the trampoline

Chris and my sister Heather holding Lincoln. Heather's expecting her 2nd girl/4th child in December!

Lincoln finally giving his mom some good smiles

Jack giving Lincoln some kisses. Lincoln really enjoys watching Jack run around.
Thanks for the good times, fam! We'll see you at Christmas!

Time to Move... Again

That's right... the time has come to move out of our house. Our awesome friends, Clayton and Amber, moved to Orem to save on gas while Clayton gets his MBA, and they're going to rent us their house for awhile. So that means we're moving about three houses down and across the street. It's been so nice to be able to take loads over little by little. We've accomplished a lot so far, and will be moving all the big stuff tonight and tomorrow. So if you don't have any Labor Day plans... come over tomorrow morning to help and we'll feed you lunch! If I don't blog for awhile, it's because we haven't set our computer back up yet.Goodbye old house, we'll miss you!
