Relaxing Labor Day Weekend

Doug came home from work on Friday, and was immediately thrown in to playing xbox with Jack. Here are a few snapshots of that. Love their faces!
P.S. Lincoln really wanted to play, too!

Jack always says, "Take a picture me!" when he sees that I have the camera out.

(Not so) Little Linc just playing on the floor

The landscapers come and mow the common area every Friday. The boys love to watch him go around and around on the lawn mower.

My awesome visiting teacher, Alice, offered to watch our boys Saturday so we could go to the temple. This was our first trip to the Mesa temple, since we lack family to watch the boys. And it's just so long to hire a baby-sitter for. We left the house at 9:30, and didn't even get out of the temple until 1:00. What a great experience! None of our pictures turned out, though. This one turned out blurry:

And the sun was just so bright in this one! Plus, it was literally 100 degrees out. So we were both thinking, "Let's just take this picture already and get out of here!"

Then we took Alice up on her offer to go out to lunch afterward. We tried a place called Charleston's. It was a little pricey, so we just shared a plate. Their chicken picatta was yummy!
We got to pick up the kids a little after 2. Lincoln usually goes down about 12 or 12:30. Here he was (about zonked) on the way home.

Saturday night, we took the boys to co-op and decided to try this place called Swirl It. It's a really fun, casual frozen yogurt shop where you put however much you want into your cup, then pile on as many toppings as you want. When you pay, they weigh it, and the weight is what the cost is dependent upon. We also stopped at Home Depot to buy some spider killer since we've seen a few black widows surrounding our house.
We were all able to go to church on Sunday (late) and went to the pool this morning. It was a blast hanging out with Doug for 3 days straight!

I LOVE that picture of them watching the lawn mower!! That is priceless! We missed you alot this weekend. Gwen hosted an amazing dinner (as usual). I kept thinking how fun it would have been to have your boys there to play with Deacon! He had the trampoline all to himself, so he was kinda entertained :)

So awesome that your friend volunteered to babysit so you could go to the temple. We so rarely get babysitters (Lexi, going on 9 months almost, still has huge stranger anxiety and freaks out if anyone but Cam or I try to hold her, or look at her, or talk to her. So I hate to leave her with even family and have her just scream the entire time I'm away. But, it's got to end sometime right) for the girls, and sadly, a temple date never occurs to us. So I usually have to go by myself or with a friend.

Ha, ha, ha. Why is it that kids always want to play with whatever their parents are touching? Also, it is so amusing what children find entertaining (lawnmowing). Your kids are so cute and funny, they crack me up.
