Easter/Visit From G & G Nelson

Grandma caught wind that Jack and Lincoln were always fighting over Jack's "bike," which is basically a big wheel. She was nice enough to buy Lincoln his own Cars bike. They have both enjoyed having their own big boy bikes now!

And Doug finished Jack's Batman bed. It turned out great! Grandma made him this blanket to go with it. And grandpa helped Doug make a little shelf between Jack's head and the wall. It's a perfect spot for Jack's clock, where he can now recognize the number "7," so he knows not to get out of bed before 7:00.

We discovered this place called Organ Stop Pizza, and it is absolutely amazing! They have 5,500 pipes, and this one guy controls the piano, organ, drums, dancing cats, etc. We thought Lincoln might be a little scared because the organ is pretty loud, but they both loved it! They were dancing a lot of the time! Their pizza was pretty good, too! We put in a request for him to play Star Wars, but they didn't do it. Sorry, Jack.

Jack fell asleep in this position on the way there

Here's the organ as it descends into the floor

And here's a quick video of them dancing as they listened to the organ. We highly recommend this place to anyone!

Happy Easter! The boys woke up searching for their basket in the house. Do you guys hide the baskets? Or do you place them outside their bedroom door? Doug grew up with the former, and I grew up with the latter. Here's Lincoln checking out what the Easter Bunny left.
Jack found a Batman coloring book in his basket!
"What? You mean there's candy inside these? Sweet!"

Lincoln wasn't super interested in looking for eggs

And the Easter bunny left us Shrek Forever After! Awesome.

Gwen and I made some ham, jell-o, pineapple glaze, broccoli with cheese sauce, and...
I saw that Rhodes Rolls had this cute little recipe to make duck rolls! We took a stab at it, and I think they turned out okay for first-timers.
We took grandma and grandpa to the Scottsdale train park. Here are the boys enjoying the train ride. Lincoln wouldn't sit with anyone but me (he has become quite the mama's boy, which I have to admit, I love.)
On the way home, we stopped by the Mesa temple, and discovered that they have a visitor's center! We hadn't seen that before. Lincoln was holding onto me so tight when I got by this Christus statue. He was a little unsure about it.
Thanks, Kevin and Gwen! We had so much fun with you guys!

And we reached 90-degree weather a couple days last week. Here we are trying out our little baby pool on the patio.
And laying out in the afternoon sun

And a random picture of my boys loving on each other... which you will usually miss if you blink.

K, that picture of your boys on their bikes, Lincoln looks SO big! They look about the same size. Your baby sure is growing up. I LOVE his finished batman bed. So cool! What boy wouldn't want to sleep in that? He's very lucky. And I love that you taught him to stay in his bed until 7...I really need to do that with Jordan. The Easter bunny would usually hide our baskets growing up, but sometimes they would just be set out on the couch. Sorry this is super long! Looks like a great Easter and a fun visit.

How cute is Kevin with those boys?! I love it. Glad they could visit and I love the Batman blanket! Gwen is amazing.

I guess we have an Organ Stop Pizza in Utah now. I think Melissa said it was in Layton. Maybe I misheard, but I definitely want to go there.
