August 2012

Doug drove home to Arizona by himself in our car, and my dad met us in Utah to pick us up and take us to Colorado for a week and a half. It wasn't much cooler there, unfortunately. They had a very hot summer!

Heather invited us to the zoo with her family one day while we were there. Grammy drove the boys and me down there, and we only lasted until lunch because of the heat. I was getting so lightheaded!

Another train ride for Lincoln!

Hi Jack!

The boys had a blast playing with Timber, Mason's dog!

Had so much fun reuniting with high school friends and their kids. It's never long enough with you ladies! Miss you guys.

Eliza invited us to her neighborhood pool. Here's Olivia and Lincoln hanging out. Olivia is so good with Lincoln!

We got news a couple days before we left back for Arizona that Doug got offered the job for the state of Utah that he had interviewed for. We're now just waiting to hear on when his replacement will be leaving so we can plan our move. He should start either mid October or mid November. I'm hoping for mid October so we can settle in a little bit before baby comes! She's due December 9th, and I have gone early with both pregnancies so far. Wish us luck, and we will see you Utahn's soon!

July 2012

Here I am trying to catch up on our blog. I guess I'll take it one month at a time and go from there. We had some rainfall with the whole monsoon season starting up, so the boys took their shirts off and ran out in the rain for awhile. They had a good time.
For the fourth of July, most of the day was rainy. But some of our friends in our ward had a "bring your own BBQ" party and we went to their house for swimming and BBQ before we went and watched the Gilbert fireworks.

 Mmm, dessert!

Here's me at 18 weeks along

At 19 weeks, we were able to have the ultrasound that determines the sex. And...

IT'S A GIRL!!! Here's her first beautiful photo.

I was cheering in the ultrasound room as soon as she typed it up on the screen. We're both so excited! Although I have to admit, I am a little nervous because I have no idea what to expect with a girl.

We took a trip to Utah and Colorado at the end of July

Lincoln and his uncle Kolton on Kolton's motorcycle

Jack and Grandpa on Grandpa's motorcycle

It's not the 24th of July without Doug's grandpa buying us all tickets to the Spanish Fork Rodeo!

Lincoln was such a daddy's boy the entire trip! Here he is clinging to his dad at the rodeo. Not even mom was allowed to touch or console him. I think Doug liked it.

Grandma Nelson treated us to the Heber Valley Railroad, and the boys absolutely loved it!

Funny face time!

We drove up to Heber to board the train, took a ride to Vivian Park for a quick picnic lunch, then got back on the train to Heber again. We were supposed to have stopped at the park for like 20 minutes. But by the time we got off, it was less than 10! We had to eat fast, then finish on the way back.

We took a drive up the canyon and had a dutch oven dinner and some birthday cake for Doug and Kolton. Jack wanted a baseball cake, so that's what Grandma made.

Grandpa and Kingsley watching Kolton and Cassidy bring back clapping games

And my absolute favorite picture of Lincoln... just enjoying the train ride and taking it all in. He was totally in heaven just hanging out on the train like this.
